Below are descriptions of some representative Monarflex containment solutions, please take a moment to browse and imagine how Levitator can use Monarflex to turn your problems into possibilities.

The Astoria Column - Oregon

This beautiful monument, recently restored under Monarflex containment, relates the history of the American Northwest. As the Public Works Director wrote, "With Monarflex we were able to protect the artwork and the artists and accomplish the needed restoration." His conclusion: "We could not have completed this important project without Monarflex." Larger Photos (~44KB)

Weather Protection

This Lewiston, Maine church was completely renovated with the help of a very small quantity of Monarflex sheeting. The material was constantly moved and re-used throughout the duration of the contract. Larger Photos (~76KB)

On Ship Containment

The USS Pioneer's mast was fully contained. The success of rigid frame containment combined with Monarflex sheeting has proven to be the most reliable method and is now widely used by the U.S. Navy. Larger Photos (~51KB)

The Marines

Monarflex T material was used to cover U.S. Marine helicopters. The material was bonded with Monobond tape and special zip-door panels were used for controlled access. The enclosed area was then overpressurized and dehumidified. Larger Photos (~50KB)

Small Structure Containment

An example of SSPC Class I containment on a propeller shaft using Monarflex sheeting and components. From the interior it was clear that the sheeting effectively provided total emission control. Larger Photos (~65KB)

Tank Containment

Traditional scaffolding and Monarflex sheeting combine to provide containment for this structure. The sheeting is attached so that the overlap is internal and dust does not "fall out" of the containment. "QUICK" - "SIMPLE" - AND "VERY EFFECTIVE" Larger Photos (~52KB)

Smoke Bomb Test

Demonstration of total containment at Norfolk, Virginia. Negative pressure was used to draw sheeting tightly so that when the smoke grenade was exploded no smoke escaped the contained area. Zip door can be seen with control panel to control internal pressure. Larger Photos (~47KB)

Offshore

A typical example of Monarflex T-Plus being used in an offshore/petrochem application. Extra strength fixings were used so that the sheeting could withstand the extremely high winds experienced in this area and provide total protection for the work crews. Larger Photos (~45KB)

Bridge Containment

Monarflex sheeting being used on traditional scaffolding to contain under a typical bridge. Total containment can be simply attained to SSPC Class I Guidelines. Larger Photos (~53KB)

Bridge Containment

The historic Cheshire Bridge crossing the Connecticut River at Charlestown, New Hampshire was the first bridge in the United States contained by Monarflex. The interior picture indicates the area containment and the ease with which a single worker can move a full roll of Monarflex sheeting. The exterior shows the project with the first two spans completed, with the same sheeting used for the third span. During the following twenty-month period the contractor realized greater benefits than ever expected through re-use of this material on other projects. Larger Photos (~83KB)

Tower Containment

This EXXON tower 287' high is totally contained by Monarflex sheeting. This containment withstood extremely high winds. Larger Photos (~51KB)

The Williamsburg Bridge

The Williamsburg Bridge for so long considered impossible to contain. Once again Monarflex has provided the answer and proven that whatever the task total containment with Monarflex is a reality. Larger Photos (~62KB)
