Portable Hoists
Portable Hoist Features
  • Push Button Pendant Control makes up and down movement safe and easy. Most Beta Max hoists come standard with a six-foot operator's pendant and the ability to extend the pendant for cable remote control.
  • Positive and Secure Electrical Connections are standard on Beta Max equipment. Heavy-duty power and pendant connections are designed to hold up in severe service conditions, and power and control cables are extra-tough for rugged use.
  • Failsafe Brake holds the load securely when not lifting or lowering. Loads are powered up and powered down; no freefalling or slipping.
  • Non-Rotating Cable helps keep loads from spinning while lifting or lowering. Safety Limit Control eliminates the worry of accidentally lifting materials too far and damaging the cable drum.

Portable Hoist Mounting Options

Trestle Monorail System
This heavy-duty system can be used with all Beta Max hoists that specify monorail mounting. The Trestle Monorail is easily installed for between-the-floor or rooftop lifting when properly counterbalanced. This popular system has a vertical capacity of up to 2000 pounds with a 3 1/2 foot outward cantilever.

Scaff–Track System
Our most popular mounting system attaches in minutes (no tools required) to existing scaffolding, and can be used with all Beta Max hoists (not including the Beta Lite). It features a 3 foot overhang on conventional 7 foot- spaced, walk-through scaffold frames. Eight foot spacing on scaffold frames can also be accommodated. Unlimited system lengths are available using add-on 7 foot Scaff-Trac Extension. The Scaff-Trac has a weight limit of 1200 pounds when used with conventional scaffolding. The Mac- Trac System is also available for use with 5 foot mason-type scaffold frames.

I-Beam System
The flexibility and versatility of Beta Max systems are illustrated in the I-Beam Trolly Mount. All of our large-capacity hoists can be I-Beam mounted. The Rolling Trolley has a lifting capacity of 2000 pounds, and is adjustable to fit most job-site I-Beam dimensions. Stationary I-Beam Mounting Systems are also available to 2000 pounds.

Vertical Post Mounting
Our simplest mounting system is becoming increasingly popular for attaching the lighter-weight hoists to existing scaffolding. The vertical post mount has a maximum load lift of 400 pounds and is easily clamped onto the scaffold frame.

Counterweight Clamp Assembly (optional)
Easily attaches to Trestle Monorail and Scaff-Trac systems with tubular clamps. Designed for use with 50 lb. suspended staging counterweights.
