Retractable Lifelines

These retractable lifelines are designed to quickly arrest a potential fall. The lifeline attaches to the worker's full body harness. When a fall or slip occurs, a centrifugal brake activates and arrests the fall. Cable lengths are available from 25' to 140', with a choice of stainless steel or a synthetic fiber cable. In all circumstances, the retractable lifeline should be attached directly above the head of the worker, to avoid potentially dangerous "swinging falls" (pendulum effect).

Retrieval/Retracting Lifelines



The retrieval/retracting lifeline combines fall protection and a retrieval winch to protect workers climbing into confined spaces where a vertical entry/exit is possible. In the case of a fall, the lifeline utilizes a centrifugal braking system that quickly activates and locks within a few seconds. The rescuer outside the confined space can then retrieve the worker by cranking the retrieval handle. The bi-directional retrieval feature allows the injured worker to be lowered or raised. This feature also makes it possible to slightly lower a worker to free him from obstructions before raising. Wire rope length is 50', capacity is 310lbs and recovery speed is 20' per minute.
